MERCURY MEETS JUPITER IN DUSK DURING MID MARCH

In the beginning of this month we saw the nice event of Venus and a Crescent Moon just a degree apart in the morning sky. Now another fine event will happen in the dusk during mid March. The inner most planet Mercury will meet giant Jupiter in the evening sky. They will remain within 6 degrees during March 12 to19. Mercury will come up in the bright dusky sky after March 12 and will be at Greatest Eastern Elongation on March 23rd. On March 12 they will be within 5.5 degrees at 7:30pm. They will be closest on March 15, just 2 degrees apart! On that day the pair will set at around 8:10pm.
